Continuing with our focus on eliminating toxins from our everyday products, this week we bring you an easy DIY skin cleaner that is non toxic and healthy for your skin. This recipe takes just a few minutes to make and will really revolutionize the way you cleanse your skin. Recipe: Blend Together
1 Cup Grassfed Beef Tallow
3 tsp Castor Oil
Add essential oils based on skin type. 5- 10 drops.

Dry Skin: Rose Water, Lavender, or Geranium.
Acne Prone or Oily: Peppermint, Tea Tree/ Melaleuca, Lemon, or Lemongrass (Note: Lemon and Lemongrass can cause photo sensitivity so be mindful to not use too much.)
Normal: Lavender or Roman Chamomile
Alternatively if you have normal to dry skin you can use 1 tsp of Rose Water which is what I use in the video.

Hi I am Vanessa Lambert owner and co-creator of Bee The Wellness and Unveil Your Wellness. Welcome to this video. Today I am going to show you a quick and easy face wash that is all natural, chemical free, and super nourishing for your face.
There are only a few ingredients and this takes less than 2 minutes to make.
The ingredients are Grassfed Beef Tallow, Castor oil and some essential oils. We will talk about which essential oils later in this video.
Now you might be thinking to yourself how the heck am I going to wash my face with beef tallow and castor oil. Well first we have to get outside the regular paradigm of how to take care of your skin. The old method of taking care of your skin was to strip away everything off of the surface of the skin and then apply some kind of sterilizing agent or toner and then perhaps moisturize with something that is more balanced then your skins natural oils. This is the biggest mistake that people have been making for years. If you consistently strip the moisture away from your skin, then your skin starts to produce more oils to try to keep the surface moisturized. You end up getting stuck in the paradigm of stripping away your bodies natural oils and replacing them with something less natural in hopes of balancing out your skin. Now if you already have dry skin, then stripping away the natural oils every day can also have a negative effect and in both cases you are applying unnatural products that typically have a high chemical and toxic load in them back on to the surface of your skin to moisturize. it doesn’t make a ton of sense when I lay it out like that right?
So with an oil based cleanser like this, we are now entering a different approach to skin care. We are actually applying something that is close to the sebum or the natural moisture of the skin and therefore very natural to the skin. Now if you’re thinking ya but how is it going to remove my makeup? Well the oil actually binds to the makeup quite well so if you oil your face up and then take a steaming hot towel it will pull all of the makeup away from the skin and the makeup actually comes off just as good if not better than a traditional cleanser.. For eye makeup I like to use either a little olive oil or vitamin e and both work really well. Am I blowing your mind with this?
Now I would be remiss if I didn’t mention a couple of things. First, when you first start this process be patient, your skin might freak the hell out because you are getting all this extra oil that your face is not used to at first. Give it a solid week to 10 days for your skin to get used to this new regimen. Also, I don’t want to spend a ton of time on this but I do have to say, clear skin begins in the kitchen. If you are eating a lot of sugar or inflammatory foods then your skin regimen really can’t fix that unless you want to stick to using harsh chemicals that are specific for acne. I am not judging if that’s your jam then thats your jam but if you do want a more natural skin care regimen, then you’ve got to pay attention to nourishing your skin by nourishing your gut. But for now lets dive into this easy breezy recipe.
You are going to take
1 cup of tallow and 3 teaspoons of Castor oil.
Now you are going to add your essential oils and you have a few choices.
If you have pretty normal skin or maybe just a bit on the dryer side I would say use either lavender or alternatively you can add a 1 tsp of rose water which is what I am going to do.
If you tend to have oily skin you can add a bit of tea tree oil or peppermint and lemon and I would say about 5 drops of each. When in doubt Lavender is really your friend and is beneficial for pretty much any skin type.
Now we blend it all together and that is it! I use this only at night before I go to bed and like I said use a hot towel to steam the makeup and impurities off of your skin.
